Heal Your Mind, Body, and Spirit

It’s amazing what can happen to our body, our mental state, or our spirit when we don’t take proper care of ourselves. In this fast paced world, we don’t take time out just for us often enough, we don’t stop to smell the roses, and we often drive ourselves too hard for work, family, and friends.

This is just your friendly reminder that every so often, you should take a time out. Start your mornings right — wake up about 10 minutes earlier than you normally do and make sure to find yourself a quiet area away from anyone else who may be awake. Then quiet your mind, think about what you are grateful for in your life, then think about the amazing miracles you will experience throughout the day.

During this morning respite, you can even weave an affirmation into it.

As I start this day, I allow my mind, my body, and my soul to relax and heal. As I move throughout this day, I draw in healing white light and with each passing moment, I grow stronger and healthier. I am the embodiment of health and beauty.

Happiness Is Your Birthright

Depending on your background, you may have forgotten somewhere along the way to where you are now, that happiness is your birthright. No one can take it away from you and no one can give it to you. It is something only you have control over.

If you’re not happy in this very moment, ask yourself why. Then realize that you can change it, right this very second. Do no dwell upon that which makes you unhappy; instead, laugh heartily. It may seem strange to start laughing out of the blue (and if you can’t do it by yourself, find something that you find hilarious), but laughter has healing properties. It releases chemicals in the brain which may boost your personal manifesting powers and your overall health.

To go with today’s theme of happiness, I’ve prepared a short affirmation for you to use. Say this to yourself in the mirror, write it down on a piece of paper and reference it throughout the day, or visualize it.

Today’s Happiness Affirmation: I am love and love myself. Because I love myself I choose to make myself happy. In this moment, I am happy and happiness is me.

Of course, make sure to tweak it to your preference.

Weightloss Affirmation

Sometimes we don’t feel all that great in our own skin due to extra pounds. Maybe the weight crept on when you weren’t looking, gradually and over time. The good news is that you’re not a slave to your weight. You can do something about it. You can drop back to your ideal weight.

(Don’t let anyone tell you what your ideal weight is. Only you can determine that. Just in case, check out the self-esteem affirmation.)

To help you achieve your weight goals, use this affirmation until your goals are accomplished:

I trust my body and know that it will naturally adjust to an ideal weight for me. Food is nourishment and I realize this. I make good and healthy eating choices based on my nourishment needs. I move regularly and enjoy every moment of it. I am healthy and slim!
